In 2015, The Comedy Store allowed a man with a gun to enter the establishment, resulting in a shooting leaving one dead.

Shortly after the shooting, club founder Mitzi Shore passed away.

Prior to Mitzi's passing, her son Peter Shore (known by local comics as Creepy Pete), exploited his mothers Parkinson's disease, maniplating her into removing brother Pauly Shore from the family trust, ensuring Creepy Pete would become sole-owner after Mitzi's passing.

Booker Adam Eget & others would resign after Creepy Pete's hostile takeover. Eget is now the booker of Joe Rogan's Comedy Mothership.

Since Creepy Pete's takeover, The Store has been sued by multiple comics and customers claiming Assault & Battery by club security.

Our state of the art website ComedyStoreFiles.com will be released December 2026.
